As '04 draws to a close I want to wish everyone a happy holiday season. The year just ending has been something of a roller coaster for many of us. It's appropriate to spend a little time remembering those we've lost, while celebrating the love, friendship and camaraderie that remain.

Memorial Day weekend is still a few months off, but plans are already well underway for yet another big, big incarnation of the McCune Ridge Festival at the Wheeler family's place down in the hills of Jackson County. Since 2005 marks the 30th anniversary of the first Adams County Folk Festival -- the precursor to the McCune Ridge event -- there's a ton of tradition, musical and otherwise, that we will be celebrating. Keep an eye on this page as we slide through the winter months, and we'll keep you apprised of plans as they develop. This is going to be one for the memoirs, folks!
