Friends,

Sadly, we lost one of the most important and one of the most unique voices in American music this month. I will miss both Johnny Cash and Warren Zevon. The Lost River Band has always played several Cash classics, and I've had Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns and Money" in the set list ever since I heard him perform it solo at Ludlow's here in Columbus a couple years ago and he convinced me it was a viable acoustic song. If you want to learn more about the music and career of either of these fine singers and songwriters, or if you just want to reminisce about their valuable and distinctive contributions, click on the photos above.

The performing schedule is shaping up pretty nicely for the fall months. The Lost River Band will return to Plank's on October 4, and I've got several solo shows lined up at the Peddler Lounge and at Sports on Tap in Old Hilliard through October and November. Please check out the calendar page for details.

See you at the bar!
