June, 2003

I talked last time a little bit about some of the new original songs I've been working on. For a sneak preview, a few of them are described on the newly-remodeled bio page, written by my good friend and music industry journalist, Noah Weathers.

Some summer dates are coming together. The Peddler Lounge in Grove City has reopened with new management, and I'll be playing there again on July 18, followed the next night by the now-legendary Hoofprint Farm Party in Polk. We'll probably do something similar to last year at Hoofprint, which means I'll do a solo set and a set with The Lost River Band. This is one of the most fun days of the year, my friends, so pack a sleeping bag and drive on up to Ashland County on July 19.

The owner of Mulligan's in Powell got in touch with me (from this very web site, no less!) to talk a little bit about his plans for live music. Every Wednesday night, he's throwing a sort of modified open mic, and I will plan to stop by for those events from time to time. Also, I'm booked for the night of Saturday, August 2 for a solo show. You know how I hate to grovel, but a good showing first time out in a new place sure would be nice! We'll be setting more Mulligan's dates both for myself and for the band sometime this fall.

In other Lost River news, we had one hell of a good time at our April debut at Plank's on High Street. We'll be adding more shows there, too, so please keep an eye on the web site, or if you haven't subscribed to the e-mail list, feel free to do that now so you won't miss anything.

See you at the bar!
