For the uninitiated, The McCune Ridge Festival is a modern-day offshoot of the Adams County Folk Festival, an annual party that began back in the latter part of the 20th Century (sounds funny when you say it that way, huh?) For nearly thirty years, it has served as an excuse to get together to celebrate friendship, music, the outdoors, and beer. Whether you are an old Adams County veteran or a newcomer, we would love to see you on the Ridge this May! As a reminder to the old-timers and by way of introduction to the unwashed, please keep in mind the following when planning your weekend at McCune Ridge:
Really, that's about as serious as it gets. The rest of it is fun and games, folks. Memorial Day weather in Ohio is notoriously unpredictable (well, some of our soggier brethren would argue that it is way too predictable!), but we really are overdue for a cooperative year. So cross your fingers, throw some clothes in a bag, pack a cooler or two, gas up the SUV and head for the hills! Getting There From Columbus, take US 23 south to Chillicothe. In Chillicothe, exit left to US 35 toward Jackson. Continue on 35 into Jackson County, and turn right onto County Road 28. CR 28 winds down into the holler to the little town of Limerick. Just as you're entering Limerick, turn left onto an unmarked country road that will wind you back up into the hills. After a couple miles, begin to look carefully for these landmarks: A small cemetery off to the right side of the road (you're getting close), the McCune house also on the right (the name is on the mailbox - you're getting very close), and a pair of side-by-side gravel driveways leading into the woods on your left (you are there). The second of these driveways is to the Wheeler property. Park your car and crack a beer! For More Information Send us some e-mail and tell us what you need to know!
