March, 2004 Greetings! It turns out it is quite possible that I'm a total geek after all. Otherwise, why would I get all fired up about the fact that the Internet domain name bobmccann.com finally became available? The guy who had registered it before, who I can only assume is named Bob McCann, let his registration lapse, so I was able to snag it for myself. I haven't decided whether I'll keep the musicalmidget.com name around for old times' sake, but just in case, you might want to make note of the new name. You may have noticed that I celebrated the new domain by doing a pretty much full-blown redesign of the site. I hope you like the new look, and continue to visit often! In other more music-related news, I have decided that I've gone long enough without having a 12-string guitar in my bag of tricks, so I've ordered a custom left-handed Taylor 12 that should be in my sweaty little hands by the end of April. The picture on this page is kind of an artist's conception of the new guitar -- Since it's a custom build, there really aren't any pictures on Taylor's website that show EXACTLY what the guitar will look like. But it's going to look really nice, and sound even better. I am extremely excited about getting the guitar out gigging so I can play it and you can hear it. For those of you who weren't around in the "old days," I haven't had a working 12-string since my 1975 Guild F-212 gave up the ghost after spending one too many hot summer days in the trunk of the car. My bad. That was back during the Black Forest Inn period, so it had to be around seventeen years ago. I have atoned sufficiently. Anyway, I'm pumped. Stay in touch, keep an eye on the calendar, and we'll see you at the bar! Thanks, Links to old
